The meeting will follow the conclusion of the closed session of the 40th ICDPPC. It will explore specific questions on how ethics and privacy can help fill the gaps not yet covered by data privacy norms in the context of global development and humanitarian action. Particularly, the discussion will focus on the concepts of public good, legitimate interest and fair use, as it concerns data processing by and between public and private sector.
 
This event will gather commissioners, private sector and civil society expert on data privacy and ethics as well representatives of international organizations for a frank conversation over lunch.
